  I'm not sure what you are talking about. I've barely been out of my home, let alone going all the way into town just to deliver a present. Frankly I'm a little surprised you of all people would accuse me of something so quickly. Did you smell my sent on this "gift" or out near your home?
  
  Speaking of odd gifts, I received something strange as well. A set of three grim little dolls nailed to my door. I'm sure of the identity of two of the dolls, vaguely sure of the third's. You aren't acquainted with another blue-eyed Asian man are you? Possibly with blond hair?

    The note said it was from you, but now that I think about it, it doesn't make any sense. You would have written to me in Japanese, wouldn't you? The note was written in English. I just had no reason to disbelieve it. Who would send me something and say it was from you? I couldn't scent you on the gift, but I couldn't scent anything over the blood.
    
    The only Japanese men I know are you and Shigeru. But Shigeru has deep brown eyes. Well, there's also that other guy. We should actually meet in person. There's something I wanted to discuss with you.
